Learning about the death of an Ohio motorist in a crash that was caused by another driver is surely traumatic for surviving family members. According to the office of the Franklin County Sheriff, the fatal crash was first reported shortly before 2:30 p.m. on a recent Thursday, and emergency services responded to southbound Interstate 270. A preliminary accident report indicates a 46-year-old woman was stopped in I-270 traffic, heading south. For reasons yet to be determined, an SUV driver traveled across two traffic lanes and rear-ended the southbound driver’s car. The SUV continued into another SUV, which then struck a van.
Reportedly, the SUV drivers suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening. Both were treated at a hospital. The driver of the car was rushed to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries. As part of the ongoing investigation, a section of Interstate 270 remained closed for over three hours after the 4-vehicle crash.
Those who have suffered injuries or lost loved ones in car accidents on Ohio roads may be entitled to pursue recovery of damages.
